Walter J. Burghardt, S.J., is a Senior Research Fellow at Woodstock Theological Center in Washington, D.C. and director of Preaching the Just Word, a center for homiletics and social justice. For 45 years he served as managing editor and editor-in-chief of the journal Theological Studies and during part of that time was Theologian in Residence at Georgetown University. This is the ninth collection of his homilies published by Paulist Press.
