Praise for Walter Burghardt's previous collection, Dare to Be Christ:

"Why not invest in this book as an antidote to your next boring homily? Charm, tenderness and a sense of high adventure animate Burghardt's sermons on diverse occasions." America

"For those already familiar with Burghardt's six homily collections, the welcome to this collection will be forthright. For those not familiar with them, this collection will stimulate and challenge both the homilist and the person preparing the liturgy." Modern Liturgy

"Protestants who assume that Catholic homilies are as short on quality and relevance as they are on length will be stunned by Burghardt's prose. This Jesuit can preach!" Pulpit Digest

"Many readers will find these homilies appealing because Burghardt shares himself, making occasional references to his own doubts/struggles in faith, and identifies signs of hope in the church without papering over its main controversies today." St. Anthony Messenger

"Nobody, I think, writes a better sermon than Walter Burghardt, S.J., and he proves it again in Dare to Be Christ." Praying
